Biography:

Jia Khan was born on 20th February in 1988 in New York but raised in Chelsae, London. She is the daughter of Ali Rizvi Khan, a Muslim indian American and Rabiya Amin, a Hindi film actress of Agra, who mostly remembered in Tahir Hussain’s Dulha Bikta Hai. Jia is the eldest of three daughters, her real name was Nafisa, but changed her name to Jiah after Angelina Jolie’s film GIA, cited that it was sexier.

She completed her studies in English literature and took drama courses of Lee Starnberg Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York. She is the most talented girl and has a good voice and also has a formal training in classical opera. She also said that she even tried to release her own album when she was 16 years, and even recorded the six-pop numbers, but the financial crisis become a hurdle and her dreams not fulfilled.

Apart from that, she can rock the dance floor with five different types of dances, namely, lambada, salsa, samba, belly dancing and Kathak. She likes dancing and swaying to the ground with their performance in all types of fire dancing.

The 5 feet 6 inches tall Jiah is also good at sports. She has great athletic ability in sports such as boxing ,gymnastics, aerobics, swimming, cycling, tennis, soccer, roller skating and martial arts. Jiah is a piano player too. She loves to play the piano and get lost in the world of music and imagination.

Film Career:

Initially she was selected for Mukesh Bhatt's Tumsa Nahin Dekha (2004), when she was only 16, she felt the role was too mature for her that she left herself and that role was offered to Dia Mirza. She was not disheartened, waiting for the right offer, two years later, in 2006, she approached for the Ram Gopal Verma's film Nishabd, which her debut Bollywood film, where she was acted oppposite to the famous actor Amitabh Bachchan (Big B). She had a wonderful experience with Big B for many, many things to learn from him. In fact, Jiah felt that the whole movie experience "spoiled" her as she "would now like to work only with the best."

Through her film debut, has a prominent place in the hearts of humans and wild beauty with a long-legged was for her courage, her beauty to get to know a good feature.
